What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?

All we ask is that you turn up on time & eat a sufficient amount of food before getting tattooed, if it’s your first tattoo bring a sugary drink along with you - just in case!

How much is a tattoo?

Prices vary depending on size, final design & placement. The best way to get a good idea around pricing is to book a free consultation with one of our artists, and if you have a budget you’d like to stick to we can work with that!

Two Hands Tattoo has a shop minimum of $150

To book in a tattoo with one of our artists you are required to pay a $100 deposit

NOTE: Deposits are non refundable and are taken off the total cost of your tattoo.
Cancellations or rescheduling requires 48 hours notice-if you postpone your tattoo within the required timeframe the the deposit will be transferred to your rescheduled appointment.

If you give us less than 48 hours notice your deposit will be forfeited.

The deposit system is in place to protect our artists as they have booked time out for you and spent time working on your designs, we hope you understand!

How do I book a tattoo?

You can either start the process with a free consultation, or if the piece you’re after is straight forward we can book you in via email.

Consults are free and take around fifteen minutes, it will just give you a chance to discuss the design with an artist prior to getting the actual piece done. The artist you see will be able to give you a more accurate quote and also give you an idea of timing. From there you can leave a deposit of $100 and make a set booking, this deposit will come off the overall cost of your tattoo.

Please note that deposits are non refundable.

Deposits stand as a form of security for the artist, any no-shows or last minute cancellations will be required to place another deposit.

We require at least 48 hours notice if you’re looking to reschedule your appointment.

Parking

You can find parking on nearby streets such as Brown Street, Douglas Street & Anglesea etc.

Can I bring a friend?

You’re more than welcome to bring someone along to your booking, however they’ll have to wait for you in the waiting-room. It’s crucial our artists have as few distractions as possible while tattooing you.

Can I get tattooed if I am under the age of 18?

Most of our artists will tattoo 16 & 17 year olds providing a guardian accompanies the client to the appointment & signs one of our consent forms.

Aftercare

Remove plastic wrap after 1-2 hours.

Clean with hot water & mild soap, removing any excess vaseline etc. (use liquid soap, not bar - bar soaps carry bacteria that you do not want to cross over to your tattoo.)

Pat dry with a clean paper towel, do not rub your fresh tattoo.

Apply a small amount of cream, such as Tattoo Tonic or antiseptic Bepanthen 2-3 times a day, to stop your tattoo from drying out.

Your tattoo will take about 2 weeks to fully heal.

Do not pick or scratch your new tattoo! As tempting as it may be.

Do not expose to sun, sea water, swimming pools, baths or saunas for 2 weeks. You may shower as normal.

Please note that each artist has their preferred healing method, so be sure to check with them before leaving the shop as they may have additional advice.
